While the Alpe d’Huez area is most popular during summer and winter, the area is a beautiful holiday destination all year round. The Oisans has great weather conditions in any season, and the views are magnificent with or without snow! At Chalet Solneige, we offer custom packages during spring and autumn to best accommodate your wishes for your holidays. 

Attention to all (motor)cyclists and hikers! 

A stay in the French Alps during spring or autumn is ideal for cyclists and hikers. Avoid the summer heat and business with enjoyable temperatures and quiet mountain passes. For motorcyclists, we advise tours in the Vercors with the beautiful Gorge the la Bourne and the Combe Laval. When the mountain passes are open, the Col de Galibier and the Col d’Iseran are also definitely worth a visit. 

Hikers will enjoy the beautiful mountains with an abundance of wildflowers in spring, or the beautiful autumn colours of the forests in September or October. There is a great variety of trails and spectacular hikes in the area. Depending on your experience, preference or condition we can offer advice on the best routes. Of course, a packed lunch is available on demand.
