About us
We are Therese Gasser and Pieter Janse, the owners of Chalet Solneige since 2010. With our team we will be very happy to welcome you with us. We will do everything we can to ensure that you have a wonderful holiday in this beautiful place.
Therese is Swiss and has lived and worked in the Netherlands as a civil servant / manager for years. Pieter is Dutch and has years of experience as a consultant in environmental issues about traffic and infrastructure.
Around the age of 45, we agreed that – no matter how fun our work was – we also wanted other things in life. After several years of intensive searching, we have found the place in Vaujany where we can do what we enjoy doing: making people happy in our own company.
In 2018 we built a new chalet just below the Solneige garden. Chalet Amuse is rented out as a self catering chalet for 8 persons.

Domaine des Etoiles declares that all personal data that you provide us via the contact form on the website (e.g. your name, address, phone number and mail address) will be kept confidential and not disseminated, sold or rented to other companies, organisations or individuals.

Domaine des Etoiles sends twice a year a Mailchimp newsletter by mail. These newsletters are stricktly commercial.
Your mail address is saved/stored in Mailchimp. Only guests that have actually stayed at Chalet Solneige or Chalet Amuse, or are interested in a future stay will receive this newsletter. Your data is stored for an indefinite period of time. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time via the link in the newsletter or by sending an email to info@chaletsolneige.com with the message “unsubscribing from newsletter”.
Renting contracts
The personal data that you share with us on the renting contracts will not be shared with third parties, with exception of any legal requirements. The data will only be used for your booking, the contact with you as our guest, and for the invoicing.
Business partners
ArtoFakt internet solutions is our business partner for our online services, such as website maintenance, newsletters, web statistics and web hosting. The website is hosted on a managed virtual private server of Flexwebhosting BV managed by ArtoFakt. If you contact us via the forms or via e-mail, those e-mails will be stored on the Flexwebhosting BV servers in a Dutch data center. Those e-mails are kept back for up to 5 years.

How do you reach Chalet Solneige and Chalet Amuse?
By plane
- Grenoble Isère airport (100 km)
- Lyon St Exupery (150 km)
- Geneva airport (200 km)
There are shuttle bus services from the airports to all ski resorts. Please ask us for detailed information. We can also arrange a taxi for you from Lyon, Geneva or Grenoble airport.
You can rent a car at each of the car rental offices at the airports of Geneva, Lyon, and Grenoble.
In winter time, it’s important to have winter tyres or at least snow chains. Please make sure the rental company provides either snow chains or cars with snow tyres.
