Other sports and activities in the Alps

There is something to everybody’s liking: you can rent a kayak or a pedal boat, or go rafting, hang gliding, tree climbing, horse riding and mountain climbing (via ferrata).

During the summer you will find lots of things to do in the vicinity. You can laze around for an hour or so on a pedal boat or in a canoe on the reservoir; you can take a private surfing lesson on the beautiful clear water of the Lac de Verney in the middle of the mountains.

Higher located starting points for kayaking and rafting are only half an hour’s drive away; there are countless possibilities.

In the nearby village of Oz en Oisans you will find a tree climbing adventure park where children, but also their parents, can enjoy themselves by using rope ladders and zip lines to follow easy or more difficult tracks.

Do you like horse riding? On the Col d’Ornon you can enjoy a wonderful trek through pastures, forests and rivers between the high mountains. You do need to have some experience.

You will find possibilities in the vicinity for “via ferrata”: mountain climbing via marked tracks.

Vaujany also has a number of good tennis courts, free of charge. Fancy a game while looking out on high mountains? Well, this is your chance....

Golf enthusiasts will certainly appreciate the Golf International de Grenoble. We have it on authority that the course is challenging and gives you a beautiful view of the mountains from every green. You can have lunch in the restaurant; excellent according to those in the know.

And for real dare devils: hang gliding, go on a duo flight with an instructor.
